Rapper arrested in T.I. concert shooting that killed 1

NEW YORK (AP) — A rapper who police say was seen on surveillance footage firing a gun in a packed hip-hop concert where artist T.I. was set to perform was arrested Thursday on attempted murder and other charges.

Four people were shot, one fatally, when a fight that started in a performers' lounge of a Manhattan concert hall spilled into a second-floor balcony VIP area Wednesday night.

Roland Collins, who goes by the stage name Troy Ave and was shot in the leg, was arrested on attempted murder and weapons charges, a police spokesman said.

The shooting occurred shortly after rapper Maino entered the VIP area following a performance onstage with artist Uncle Murda, though investigators don't know whether the rappers played any role in the shooting, Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said.

Femi Branch Celebrates 25th Industry Anniversary

Renowned playwright and director Femi Branch is set to showcase his latest stage play titled “Shalanga” at the eighth edition of Yaw’s annual event holding on Sunday May 29, 2016 at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The play is one of Femi Branch’s new books in celebration of his 25th Anniversary in the entertainment industry and it features the acting talents of Steve “Yaw” Onu and AY. Shalanga is a satirical stageplay that mirrors the past and present of the country in a tongue-in-cheek fashion. It is the latest in a series of stage collaborations between Yaw and Femi Branch following previous edition of the show that featured Koffi in a stage play ‘PO’. Maine college graduating student proposes to girlfriend (photo)

A graduating college student called to the commencement stage at the University of Maine at Presque Isle Maine  his peers during their graduation ceremony. Timothy Babine, a Physical education major announced at the hall that he had something important to do, then left the stage to propose to his girlfriend who was in the audience.

The girlfriend, also a student of the university, Fine Arts major Hayley Hamilton burst into tears as Babine dropped to one knee to pop the question. Hayley happily said yes! And their friends cheered.

 After news broke that Nigerian singer, Burna Boy impregnated a young woman identified as Stella Uju, a source has disclosed that this isn't the 24-year-old's first rodeo.

A source close to the Rivers state native, has disclosed he has a son with a light-skinned woman in Port Harcourt and he absconded to South Africa, refusing to acknowledge his alleged baby.

Burna who is also yet to acknowledge Uju's baby is said to have also threatened to kill his first baby mama if she leaks details of his first child with her.

It's unclear if he has been footing the bills of his first child but the source claims the singer is a deadbeat father like some of his colleagues in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
