Chief of Staff to Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross Rivers State, Dr. Alex Egbuna, alongside five others of the State Executive Council, on Tuesday, resigned their positions to pursue their political aspirations.
It was learnt that the five others that have turned in their resignation letters included the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Mike Aniah; the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Patrick Ugbe, and the Commissioner for Works, Legor Idagbor.
Others are the Special Adviser on Investment Promotion; Gerald Adah and the Special Adviser on Budget, Peter Oti.
With the exception of Egbuna, who intends to vie for the Abi/Yakurr seat in the Federal House of Representatives, the others are looking to succeed Mr. Imoke, whose tenure comes to an end next May.
