A Sharia court at Rijiyar Lemo area has been set ablaze by Hundreds of Muslim Youths in a protest against an alleged blasphemous comment by a sect member of Tijjaniyya, Malam Abdul Nyass.
Reports confirm that the youths gathered from various parts of the State, marched round holding placards condemning the statement made by the sect member against the holy prophet Muhammad.
The aggrieved youths including women were reportedly seen protesting towards Mandawari and Dandago areas as they marched to the Emir of Kano’s palace to lay their complaint.
Also, some youths and old men were seen on the streets along with other Muslim women pass judgment on the offender and calling for his punishment according to islamic rites.
According to reports, the Tijjaniyya sect leader, who is well known among the followers made a statement against Prophet Muhammad last week during his usual preaching at Goron Dutse general area of Kano metropolis.
